We are pleased to announce that we will officially be raising money for the Unicef Syria and Turkiye earthquake appeal. Our share of proceeds from songs distributed by our sister company Reachify will be donated to the charity, supporting their relief efforts in the two countries. 

Devastation has hit both Syria and Turkey in the form of terrible natural disasters. Tens of thousands have been killed and many more injured and displaced. Families have been completely torn apart with mothers losing their sons and daughters, children particularly are severely affected.

Unicef is working on the ground to ensure everyone has access to clean water and nutrition, and seeking to secure the safety and wellbeing of the children. 

In Syria the following work has been done:

Health & nutrition – 31,500 people have been provided with health and nutrition supplies. 7,900 children under 5 screened for malnutrition
Safe water & hygiene – Provided access to safe drinking water and sanitation to 200,000 people
Child wellbeing – 18,000 children, parents, and caregivers have received psychological first aid
Education – Temporary learning spaces have been created and education supplies for 50,000 children have been provided. Schools are being assessed for repairs.

Turkiye response:

Critical supplies – Over 132,000 children now have access to critical supplies, including winter clothing, hygiene kits and electric heaters
Shelter – 107 youth centres and dormitories have been converted into temporary accommodation
Child wellbeing – Over 3,200 children have received psychological first aid
Education – the charity is working with key partners to develop a plan to get children back into the classroom a quickly as possible

In addition to Unicef we are also working with other fundraising partners to raise money, and will post an update here in the coming weeks. Without your help none of this can be done. Please do whatever you can to provide support, including streaming and buying the songs where available.
