The festival was first held in 1991, increasing the size each year since then. The Electric Daisy Carnival was named after the original music festival and is now the third largest music festival in the world.

The Electric Daisy Carnival, or EDC, is an annual 3-day music festival that takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The festival is dedicated to electronic dance music. It features a variety of DJs, live performances, and other electronic music subgenres. The festival takes place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this year from May 19th to the 21st.

The carnival was setup by the promoter Insomniac The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) is a traveling music festival that has been taking place in Las Vegas since 2002. It is one of the largest and most well-known music festivals in America and has been described as the "Woodstock of the electronic dance music scene." The festival is held in a large, temporary city that is set up for the event and is made up of all the different stages, food vendors, and merchandise. The festival is organized by Insomniac Events and the event is held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
3. What is the lineup for the festival?
The lineup for the event is one of the most diverse and is always growing. There have been are over sixty different artists performing at the festival, which includes top tier performers including Kendrick Lamar, Diplo, and Janelle Monae. The festival will be taking place in Miami, Florida from the 29th to the 31st of March, and the lineup is the perfect way to get excited for the upcoming festival. Since its inception, other EDC events have been held in other states and abroad, including Mexico, Puerto Rico, the UK, Brazil, Japan and India. Sponsors of the most recent EDC events include Corona, Smirnoff, Uber and Tinder.
